Messiah Youth

"Let the little children come to me."

Children are God's miracles, and here at Messiah we invest a lot of time and love into our youth and their lives. Find opportunities for your children to learn about God's love for them, or sign up to volunteer for anything from Sunday School rotations to providing meals for junior high.

  • "Red Sea" is our second Sunday School rotation. Kids learn about the story of Moses and the Israelites and how God is faithful and can provide a solution for problems in their own lives. Sign up for future rotations on the board in the Narthex or by contacting Tracy Hedstrom at (320) 304-0355

  • "Influencing My Peers As a Christian Teen" is our youth program designed to empower teens with the love of Christ and ground them in their identity as a child of God. IMPACT meets the second and fourth Wednesday of the month with a meal for all from 5:00-5:45. Contact Pastor Mark at (218) 851-3151 for more information.

  • confirmation

The Messiah Confirmation program is open to youth in 8th or 9th grade who are looking to deepen their faith and grow in a group experience together. One of the goals of confirmation is to learn the basics of the Christian faith--the meaning of the 10 commandments, the Creed, the Lord's Prayer, and what are baptism and the Lord's Supper. We learn Bible stories and how they teach us about faith and our lives. We also learn how and what to pray for and why faith is important at whatever age you are at in life. We don't take sermon notes or are required to be at a certain amount of services, but we encourage all youth to worship with their families or each other. We encourage youth to be part of the service in some way. I hope to see all 8th and 9th graders excited to be a part of this growth group.
